With the head off the block and in cleaning with gas wd40 and castrol super clean. All of this crud had been sitting and waiting inside the block. I don't want to drain it because I can't put oil into it and I don't want to leave it in any longer either. What do some of you guys think I should do???:1zhelp:

umm...you let crud get down into the block?? through the oil tubes, or into the water jackets?

if you know which hole(s) are oil...i dont see why you couldnt funnel in fresh oil after you drain it....

if you got crud in the water, try and vaccuum it out and then from there just flush it or drain what was left in the block by removing your lower engine - radiator hose.

if you're careful you can funnel in fresh water to flush out the water system. but be careful with that so you dont get water where water shouldn't be.

I'm not worried about water but with the head off I can see into where oil was before I went to work. Yes I could funnel some in. But is it hurting anything as it sits, is the question. I have just found out that I have to post pone getting back on it for another two to three weeks.

Spray everything down with WD40. That is what WD40 was designed for, protecting the metal used for building space ships and rockets from corrosion.

Every piece of raw metal that came into the warehouse at Cape Canaveral had a coating of WD40 on it. I hated having to wash my hands all the time.:icon_evil

I have been keeping it hosed down with the wd40 because I know this will definitley slow the process down. Either no ones getting me, or I am making something out of nothing. I think the latter. Thanks fellas.
