Okay, I want to know how many of you are running the GCC/VPC combo? I am hitting fuel cut and rather than get the lex/550 and a tune I want to know if it is possible to run 10-12 psi on the stock afm and injectors. Mods are listed in my sig and im trying not to be a noob. but if a flamefest erupts, oh well.

Again, im not looking for high hp numbers now, i want to be able to floor it all the way thru the gears and not hit fuel cut.

Thanks.

vpc will practically get rid of your boost cut, or high enough that you won't hit it. Also with VPC, you won't need an afm. Straight pipe to the turbo, so you can hear it spool.... :bigthumb:

I ran 15lbs on the stock fuel system with the vpc/gcc combo.

While I did hit 350+ whp (with other mods, obviously), it was a pretty 'jagged' power curve. (Poke around for my build thread, there's a graph posted there ... but I'll warn you - it's not a pretty thread).
The VPC may not be the cleanest (signal-wise) or the most adjustable (thus the need for a GCC, too) ... but it's proven & still works.

*edit* - Oh yeah ... and total elimination of the AFM is pretty much the point of the VPC (you will have switched to a 'speed density system' instead of that crazy karman-vortex idea that makes our AFM's suck so bad). *end edit ... with disclaimer - I'm just a dumb noob, too*

That said - I'm going standalone with this next build ... the VPC's limited in it's ability to tweak the system low enough for using big injectors (my 1000cc RC's should be arriving soon :naughty: )

I have an extra VPC (w/ hacked harness - damnit) and two HK$ fcd's that you can have for next to nuthin.

I have got very minimal mods (cheap intake/3"no cat exhaust/MBC/a few other very minors), and I can hit 14-15 pounds on the stock ct-26. But, of course I have fuel cut with the MBC wide open. I keep it down to about 10-12 with the MBC. Sometimes I still get fuel cut on cool nights.

My point is........can't you control you fuel cut through you EBC, and still get 10-12 lbs?

Also, going against what I have always read, I have recently been hearing people say the Lexus is OK with 440's with a good tune. But you'd want a way to monitor your a/f ratios
