How much vacume does a 7m have in it generally? I have a stock boost gauge, so I don't know. When I do my Build up I'll be using a Tial 50mm BOV and I have run into a little issue with the springs you can get with them... Here are the springs and thier rated efficiency up to a certain vacume level:

Silver Spring: 11 PSI - (between -18 and -21 in/Hg)
White Spring: 9 PSI - (between -14 and -17 in/Hg)
Black Spring: 7 PSI - (between -10 and -13 in/Hg)

With this information here, what spring is best suited for the 7m's vacume level (and this is assuming you 7m is normal running with NO vacume leaks of any kind ;).

Thanks
Chris

yup, it will be 2 fold-

-the BOV may be open @ idle
-the BOV may leak under high boost

personally, i don't think the tial is for the masses....it's more of a "racing" BOV. it's big/dumb/slowness is why i run the SSQV in addition to the tial....

^ Lol, that's exactly what I was planning on doing! I was gonna have a SSQV before the throttle body, and the Tial before the the intercooler, or the other way around. How do you have yours set up? BTW I'm being lazy and haven't looked to see if you've got pictures... Plus it's my lunch time!

Ahhh, ic,ic. You gots an older version of the SSQV ;).

Hell I just looked at this picture earlier, my dumb ass didn't catch the dual BOV's :3d_frown: . How's the response of the two together? Sound decent mixing the two distinct sounds?

BTW, I like your SS line setups. You even have the vacume lines in SS!!

eh, not sure what they changed about the SSQV....the latest on HK$' site looks the same....here's a better shot of the piping:

i run the different insert in the SSQV as well. together the two sound nearly like the BOV sound in GT2.

thanks, i find that SS lines/fittings simplify maintenance and ensure no leaks.

^ I bet it does simplify things a lot, more expensive for sure, but should outlast the life of the car... The Supra God's forbid that ever happening!

The newer SSQV's have no adjusting screws on them now due to dumb people fubarbing them up ;). BTW... Gimme your intake manifold! I want it!

I got enough to buy it off of you I'd say, but I'm getting ready to buy a few 7M's to work on a couple of rebuilds. You can never have too many engines laying around!
