Hey y'all,
I hope this is the correct disscussion area......
I own both a 1986.5 and a 1987 Supra. Both of them are N/A. I am going to have to pull both engines very soon. The 86.5 has a rod knock around the number 5 or number 6 cylinder. The 87 has a blown head. I will post more details and pics about that later.
My question is, and I cannot find the answer readily available; how much does the engine weigh? I have access to a 2 ton hoist, but am just cuirous on what I am dealing with.

I have been lurking for a couple of weeks. I find this forum very informative and hope to contribute. I have hundreds of pics that I have taken over the past couple of years. I am finally able to afford to really start working on my Supras.

Thanks

a two ton hoist will pick the engine, trans, and all accessories up easily. 2 tons is 4000 pounds, and the entire car doesn't weigh that much
