Question about JDM rear lights

Was there a 2-pc set of JDM lights with the clear corner turn signals like the 86.5-88 here in the US? Or was the 3-pc JDM lights used for all years?

I'm asking because I want to get a set of JDM lights for my 88, but I want them to be from an 88... or what an 88 would have had in Japan. Also wondering if they ever made a 2pc over there or if it was always 3pcs?

88 tail lights in Japan are the same as 88 tail lights here.

damn that's a lot of coin for clear lights....

i want to get some nice tail lights but i don't want the 89+ style (wanna keep my 88 as 88 style and thought maybe JDM 88 was different).
