question about gauge clusters and super monitor

i have an 88 turbo (so the super monitor should plug right in)

Question 1: Can i use a gauge cluster from a 89+ and put the super monitor in place of the clock?

Question 2: Is the speedo cable from the 88 going to work on the 89+ cluster without any speed accuracy issues?

1: Should, yes, since the SM bolts into the stock clock location.
2: Yes. There is no difference in the cables IIRC.
