How do you get the lense (clear part) off of the fog light housing? I want to clean the inside and paint them...but I can't figure out how they're supposed to come off. Thanks.

unscrew the philips screw holding the bezel on the light. if youre talking about how to get the actual lens off the light, i dont think you can (sealed unit, except for the bulb opening)

Shouldn't be too dirty in there, unless the seals are bad and it got wet, then it's worth opening up to clean and reseal. If its just dust and stuff, pull the housing and blow it out with air. As far as painting goes, you can use the krylon stained glass paint from most craft stores. Several light coats on the outside of the lens works very well.

Sorry for the crappy pic, but I painted the fogs on my sentra yellow the same way I described above.

^ Sweet, yeah there's a bunch of little dust specs in there and it's annoying, so I'll just get a hose and attach it to an air tank or something and blow it out. But painting the outside will work fine? Does it chip away or anything?

I never had any problems with chips, but it is VERY easy to touch up with the stained glass paint. If you feel that you need to completely repaint them, then you can use brake cleaner and it will all come right off so you can repaint easily.

Chances are that there is a glue holding the lens and housing together.
I bet if you put them into the oven for something like 10min at 250*f, I'd have to check, or you can check on it yourself at clubwrx.net, they do it a lot to their headlight housings to remove the amber reflector inside.

If you were to put them in the oven you would be able to pull the lens and housing apart, clean, and reassemble.

I like that, but ours won't do it. They are a one piece design. Part #81211-14130(Right), #81221-14130 (Left). $129.64ea

I have the body shop repair parts guide. It is a 'blowup' of the car with part #s and prices. If some one could PM me and tell me how to scan it into a thread, or How to up load a file (I can make a file of the pages).

It might be something people would want to look at, or download, etc.
