Question about 2jz bc 272's

I just got done installing my bc springs and retainers and wanted to know if my bc 272's would make my motor an interference motor, or if it would stay noninterference. I've been reading a lot of differnt answers but none with facts. The only post I've read with facts was on supraforums and it said it would take over 10.5mm of lift to make it an interference motor.

Thanks
Billy D.

What is the lift of these camshafts? I would think that would provide your answer... most cams I've seen for our motors seem to be ~9.5mm of lift. Duration was where they were different.

My logic= the Brian crower 264 cams that bolt right in are non interference with a lift of 9.52mm.

The Brian crower 272 cams have the same lift 9.52mm/9.62mm

I'd say you're good

brad you get the face palm of the day...i know the lift of the cams i just dont know at what point the motor becomes an interference motor.

i was told by a few people that my info of 10.5mm is right, at this point im saying im going for the gold and bolting them in :p

now lets see if i bend a valve
Aww... face palm of the day? Should I feel special? :p

Could always do it the old fashioned way, using putty (something else? I've never had to do it...) on top of the piston, although it's time consuming.
