quart low????

i went to get my windows tinted and when they finished they said my car was running like crap and that it was leaking oil. GREAT!!!! well i went and looked and it was powersteering fluid and i checked the oil and it's about a quart low, and i was wondering if it's possible for a quart of oil to "be soaked up" by a rebuilt engine? since i put it together.... and it was dry except for the things that needed assembly lube is this poosible, and would it make it run like ass?

how long since the rebuild? no visable oil leaks i take it? what do your spark plugs look like?

plugs look good and it's been about maybe 10miles

Did you top off the oil after you ran it the 1st time? Thinking that it may just be your oil filter, oil cooler, and lines filling up.

While the motor is breaking in it's going to use a bit of oil just remember to check it at least once a week and it's not going to hurt anything running it +1qt.

1qt low and you're risking Rod Knock if you get on the brakes hard or chuck it around a long curve like a freeway onramp.
