Got my dash and heater core box out, and as expected the foam from the joints and metal shields is all over the place, coming apart, floating around, and generally making a mess of things. What have you guys (and girls of course) done about replacing this foam when you reinstall the box? Or do you even bother with replacing it?

I had planned on getting some thin strips of single-side adhesive door seal from Home Depot or something to help seal the joints, but wanted to hear some thoughts on the subject first. Thanks...

It wasn't put there just for fun I think.
I sticked almost the same stuff there, but I guess any door or window sealant of this type will work?

I just put mine back together and I used door weatherstrip. I bought a roll from Wmart.
Everything is very tight now.

Luckily mines all in good shape. But of course I go and break the main vent thats built into the dash cover, oh well nothing a but if rubberized packing tape wont fix, why it broke I dont know, what a pain in the ass it was to get the dash back in.
