Hey guys, before when I though my problem was the head, I took it off and took out the entire exhaust side of the valves using a socket with a magnet trick. How do I get them back in? The snap on tool I found is $50, what are other options?

Also once they are back in, this is jsut springs with a cap, does it need to be adjusted at all? if so how?

Please help me out here, Im just looking to see what tools I need.

If you kept them all in order they should be fine?

what? LOL i need to know what tool I need to put it back in bc of the valve locks. ALso when they go back in, (yes in order) I know some engines Ive heard of using a feeler gauge, but with this one I dont see hwo that would work... thats what Im looking to find out.

Wish IJ was here so it wouldve already been answered.

By feeler gauge im guessing you mean the tool for the shim/cam clearnces?

Wouldnt hurt but if theyre going back in order it shouldnt really matter, maybe if its new cams and shims it would.

IIRC auto zone or kragen have a tool thats like a C-Clamp with a C shape plate on top you use to compress the spring and put the locks in.

yeah they do, just makin sure that was the easiest. Im cleaning the valves but other than that Im only replacing ONE lock that was lost during extraction

God 2 more weeks and I should be finished. I cant wait.
