put my bov on and i noticed i got about 1.5 psi out of it:naughty: but when i baught it the gentleman i talked 2 said that it wouldnt do n e thing except spool the turbo faster???? i was just curious about the bov. i am 15 n new in the supra game and i love it:love: , and was wondering what the bov does... it sounds wonderfull and spools quite quickly i am very pleased with the model.

the only way you'd be gaining boost by replacing the BOV is because your old one was leaking. and your turbo only spools faster because of the same reason.

basically, the blow off, or bypass valve relieves pressure when you shift. this prevents compressor surge, which is when the air that is compressed into the intercooler piping, intercooler, and intake manifold tries to go backward, and spin the impeller blade the opposite direction than it should.

on large turbos, pushing high boost, compresser surge could screw up the impeller wheel, or even break fins off of it if it happens to an extreme.

thanks... now i understand a lil more. b 4 i put the bov on i had about 6psi and now the stco gauge is all the way to 8psi may b more so i need to geta new gauge......

how bout spelling too? congrats man and make sure you keep on top of the adjustments with it. how are you driving at 15 btw?
