The reason behind it is with current police cars is you have to modify a normal production car to police standards. Why not just buy a car and it has all the stuff they need. See how the lower part of the seat isn't there to make room for the police belt. I think its a pretty cool idea.
Oh and its diesel, and I am a 1000% believer in every car in the world being a diesel.

Not impressed...

For a turbo diesel, the gas milage doesn't look so great. And i'm calling BS on the 250K miles crap, as it's not going to be a huge production car, initial cost to buy and parts are going to be expensive no matter what they say.

They can say all they want now because it hasn't been proven otherwise.
