Okay I know this is not a performance upgrade and it really does nothing for the car. The cigarette lighter is missing and I don't smoke so I don't want to waste money on a new one plus I hate the hole it leaves behind and I think the button would look really nice there. My question has anyone every installed one of these? If so what brand was it? I am asking because I have never looked at one up close and I just want to know what is involved in the install.

Im putting one in my supra since I cant get rid of the random no start/start problem. The are designed to fit into a generic cig. lighter hole. All you have to do is hook up you ground (earth) and tap the other wire into you ignition cable coming off the ign. cilendar. Buy an Ignited one, theyr are the originator of the aftermarket pieces and look very similar to the stock units in s2000 and other cars. They seem to be getting popular in newer luxury cars. Im doing it to fix the starting problem and because Lexus is starting to install them in their cars. lol

it the third wire i believe. I going to install it in a week or so. If I remember correctly (I will confirm later) there is a wire coming of "ACC", "ON", and a larger grey wiring coming off the "START" position of the ignition cylinder. Splice and solder the larger (PWR/START) wire from the button to the grey wire (START) on the ignition cylinder. I'll give you more details when I get it completed next week

ive got one in my car, got it from autozone as a kit. it uses a relay and connects to ACC IGN and START wire. shitty kit waste of money, and waay over priced.

the clips on the relay broke off, i had to rip the entire thing out at my works parking lot to rewire and i had to replace the relay in it.

It looks ugly now, and the push button actually sticks and grinds the starter if you dont push it in the center of the button. The only reason why its in my car is because if i rip it out i know i have just wasted $50 :)
