Usually heavy leaking at the front seal (the kind you have to keep adding fluid).
Whining sound, and moaning or whining when you turn the wheel back and forth.

It's not leaking yet, but I have all of the afore statted ailments. Any tips or pointers??? I would like to not have to buy a new belt is that possible??? When you say front seal do you mean the front engine seal. Or does the pump it's self have a front seal?
someone keeps telling me about pullies and I haven't seen any in my tsrm, I am still talking about the power teerting pumpbecause it is raining tiday a f ucking gain, i'm never going to get to work on this car.
back at it. Drained the radiator. I have what seems to be A hydraulic line. It's going to take two wrenches in one small spot to pull it off. And I also need to remember the rest of the lucas power steering fluid. I have some hoses disconnected from thr pump. I'm in no hurry because I can't order the part till tomorrow. so hopefully ....., monday morning, I'll have it. and be rolling tuesday night....., in theory.
