PS Hose Size?

I need to know the sizes of a few hoses. I am trying to get all the measurements in NPT or inches because I want to purchae my braided steel from one company and not have to travel everywhere to get different hoses for different measures.

I need:

Valve Cover nipples in NPT (1/2"???)

PS Resevoir Ports; Bottom, and Return in NPT (3/8" and 5/8"???)

Master Cylinder Hoses in NPT (3/8"???)


I have all the FPR lines in braided steel so if there is any other hose that I missed that can be replaced with braided steel let me know.

Also, what size are the pcv ports on the valve covers? in NPT please. Trying to get everything done in NPT.

The PS reservoir hose size is 5/8". If you're talking about AN size it would be -11 AN. The PCV ports you're talking about are the twin nipples on the valve covers right? I believe they are 1/2", -9AN should be able to fit. HTH! Happy plumbing$$$$$:icon_lol:

There are two hoses for the PS. return line and one that connects from the bottom of the resevoir.

Oh, opps, you're talking about NPT size? The barb size should be the same as inch increments.

I believe the other hose for the PS should be approx. 3/8 " . Please double check yourself to be sure. Use your open end wrench to approximate the nipple size.

Check the rating on your hose for the high pressure side. The pump can put out over 1500psi.

Well, most braided stainless line is rated higher than the 1500psi, but only when used with the right fittings.

Clamps will not cut it for long at those pressures in my experience.

The return size on the PS is AN11.
I use Earl's pushlock hose with clamps off the valve covers, and I belive it's 1/2" ID.

Fuel lines are AN6.
Stock oil cooler lines are also AN6 IIRC. (I use the stock oil cooler as my PS cooler now.)

What would AN11 be in a fraction of an inch? (NPT)
