Well i am almost done with the swap and the gauges are giving me and my buddies a freakin headache....what i have found is that i have good power and ground so when i plug in my water temp gauge it works perfectly with the little sweep and all....but the boost gauge wont even light up....I plugged the boost gauge harness to the water temp and it worked great, and then proceeded to plug the water temp harness in to the boost gauge and it did nothing...as far as i can tell.. i need to contact prosport and let them know that their gauge is INOP...thoughts?

Probably got a dud is youve checked all connections and made sure that yours grounds are solid. Have you double checked that you haven't crossed any wires and hooked them up wrong?

Yeah we traced all of the wires and everything is good....especially if i can hook up my water temp gauge to the boost gauge harness and have it work fine but when i plug my boost gauge in it it does nothing....

BTW do any of you guys knwo what wires i need to use to hook up my illumination...what color wire is the tail light sensor and the other one it calls for.....sorry dont remember what it was....

Give prosport a call they should be able to help you out and more than likely just send you a replacement gauge. Good luck let us know how it goes.

still learning
which boost gauge is it? i have the peak/hold and had trouble getting my harness in all the way so the gauge would get power and then if it moved at all it would lose it. make sure it is in all the way.

as for illumination, i have mine set up at white during the day and the other color, amber in my case, at night. i hooked up the amber wire to a green wire with red dashes and the white wire to the hot wire on the cig lighter (cant remember the color, red or blue sound right but not sure). i hope someone will confirm this, as after i installed it, my battery would drain and the only thing i messed with was the gauges. however when the battery had power the gauges did illuminate correctly, white during the day and amber at night.

well the wires are loose for all three harnesses....meaning we pulled them out from the pod and have been interchanging them. It is the boost gauge that is Inop....It just does not make sense that the harness works for one gauge and not the other.....So there is definately good ground and power going to all of the gauges. I will just call Prosport and see if they can help me out... Thanks for your help with the illumination...the wires from the cig lighter are red and blue so yeah it sounds right...Thanks

i got my harnrsess mixed up on my gauges once, and they diddnt work. make sure the proper harness goes to the correct gauge!
the water temp and oil temp harness are identical(i believe) the boost harness is a little different

This is true. 99% of the problems we've seen with ProSports are swapped harnesses. Call support, they'll walk you through figuring out if you've got a swapped harness or a bad gauge.
