Well, Friday I picked up a 87 super white N/A with 167xxx miles on it. It had a bad fuel pump and that's why it didn't run. Once my dad and I dropped my other tank and walbro in it then the beast fired up. But it had the dreaded rod knock with a bhg syndrome. Good thing I bought the car for the body and not the driveline. My plans are to drop my 1jz into it after fixing some minor dents and rust problems. O and a new Pearl White paint job! I will let pics do most of my talking in this build and hopefully it will turn out really good! All comments welcome

Glad to see another 1J. Your air filter is massive. Are you sure it's going to clear? Nice choice of Corbeau seats, especially the micro-suede. Are you going to scrape out all the stock sound insulation and DynoMat the entire car? Is that a set of coilovers I spot? And are you going to replace the grill inserts or front bumper?

Might want to delete the attached images since you have them visable anyways.

The K&N is 14" long and I hope it clears. The corbeau's are really nice but I still need to buy brackets for them (I got them for $80!). No those aren't coilovers but Tockio blues with B&G springs I think can't really remember. I am getting dry ice today or tommorrow and removing the stock deadening and getting dynomat when I get the money. I have a 89+ tails, front bumper, grills, with euro corners that might go on the car when I paint it but haven't desided yet.

I have a 12" and it hardly clears. But I have a 7m so that might make a differance too! Anyway good come along! Whites allways a good choice!

Well, I cleaned it up good and its been sitting under a tree since 2000. The body as far as I can tell has orginal paint and has never been hit at all. It looks to be garage kept until 2000 and its a shame it was in the elements for 7 years other wise it would be so much cleaner! Hopefully I will get my dry ice tommorrow and remove the stock sound deadening.

Well it looks like I probably won't repaint the car until summer when I finish high school but its gonna be a starfire pearl. I am removing the sound deadening right now and should have pics up shortly.

Yeah I pretty much got the deadening out. Dry ice works really good compared to just chipping it away. The motor and tranny should be coming out Thursday or Friday. Then the 1jz will be dropped in on Saturday. I should have it running next week. Then its just a DDer and I'm going to keep it clean and slowly work it into being one of the nicest Supra's around.

Actually to me it is really dirty. It's been sitting in my garage and hasn't been cleaned much. Hopefully it will look even better in the car:icon_bigg

Brought the car to the dealership yesterday and should have the 1j in it saturday. We are swapping everything on the car pretty much. Subframe, K frame, control arms, knuckles, steering rack, diff, brakes, ect.

My dad is the top master Toyota tech at his dealership so he can do the swap there. We have already done this 1jz in a 89 but I wrecked it so we are now putting it in this car

Oh, ok. I don't trust dealerships because they tend to have a bunch of retards working there. BTW, my dad is a retired master mechanic of 24 years, and he refused to work at dealerships because of the yokels that tend to work there.

Yeah my dad is on his 24th year of working for Toyota and he doesn't really like the other guys that work there. Someday him and I might open our own shop but I don't know how much buisness we would get.
