Hello all,

I just bought a profec A. i know it's old school but the price was right ($100) and will do the job just fine:) I may need help wiring it in. As far as i can see there is a harness coming out of the back of the unit with a black wire coming from the unit( is this the negative )??? Then a red wire but it is coming from the harness side( i am guessing the positive)??

As for those two are there any other wires that need to be hooked up.

I have no manual, I found the one set of instructions, for setting up the profec a using the search, but that is all. The rest of the links are too old and dont work anymore:(

Thank you

I have the controller, a wire harness that connects the controller to the silver valve box thing, and then the valve box thing also. Sorry i dont know the right name for it.

Also i have a pioneer avic-d2 radio/nav. system, so it cant go below the radio. I dont know where i am going to mount it yet but some where that has a "factory OEM" look to it.

I also noticed ":extra wires" wires in the harness, I think they were brown and like a tan. I will have to check after work.

good job on the install, can you get it to sit more flush with that panel?

Maybe with more cutting, but the bottom is skinner then the face and is just wide enough to fit. There is bracing on the back side and the dimmer switch witch it JUST cleared. Also the back of the controller already hits the heater duct.

yeah, you may want to move the actuator box over to keep the vacuum lines as short as possible.?

I just worry about the the vac. line going to the wastegate, and dropping/jumping pressure to the wastegate. I have read the one wants to have the actuator as close to the turbo as possable.

Please add with more facts please about actuator placement and vac. lines to it.
