I got my engine recently rebuilt and I am trying to install the CPS as per instructions from the TSRM. http://born2drv.com/TSRM/Service Manual/
1. The first thing I do is turn the engine clockwise until I see the lobe of the #1
intake cam through the oil filler hole
2. I then turned the engine 120 degrees counterclockwise
3. and then 10 - 40 degrees clockwise.
My problem is when I reach the last step I am nowhere near the 0 mark on the timing cover.
I will attach a diagram showing you where I am in step 1 when I see the lobe of the cam.
Does this mean that my timing belt was installed incorrectly?
