Probably an easy answer but....valve cover removal?

I have removed all the screws on the valve covers and they seem to still be held on pretty well with no movement. I dont know if they are usually stubborn to remove or if I am missing something that is still holding them on. Can anyone help?

TIA

if its a JZ motor, its eight bolts for each valve cover

but like ian said, if you remove all of them, tap it with a rubber mallet to dislodge them

lol ok thanks guys i'll just the trust rubber mallet out and go to town. Just wanted to make sure first. Also, is there a gasket of any sort that I will certainly have to replace when I remove them? Sorry for the newb questions, never removed it b4.

Of course dude ! Your valve cover gaskets. If Its a 1JZ the gaskets gonna be a lil tricky to find.. the 2jz gasket is a tad bit too long but ive heard some people have made it work..
