pre89 tails with centerpiece?

has anyone ever done this? i was lookign around and it eems it hasn't been done. i was also wonderign would it even line up? seriously someone need to ps me this :D

You mean the centerpiece of the 89+ tails with the pre 89 tail lights? That would look terrible and wouldn't line up correctly. I think the centerpiece on the 89+ tail lights sticks out a lot farther than the pre 89 tails do.

I always wanted to know what the 89+ tails looked like without the centerpiece. Anybody have a pic of that?

I've seen people paint the center section to match. If you meant just NO center section, there would be a large gap and it'd look terrible IMO.

The side lights are NOT the same size, so you can't mix and match center pieces. If you want the center piece not to look like a reflector, prep and paint it, it can look very good.

89+ tails on a <89 car are plug n' play. Actually, the modification to have them go in perfectly is so minor, we'll just say that it's plug n' play.

You ought to look on EBay - Jarco regularly sells clean 89+ JDM tails. They are different [a little darker than we are used to], if you are into that sort of thing. You can also check out people who regularly part out cars.
