This old gentlemen is wanting to get rid of his Post 89 lip for VERY cheap. I have a Pre 89 body supra and was wondering if anyone has ever "tried" to rig it up to a older style bumper? Its a 40 minute drive for me so I do not want to drive all the way just to find out its not rig able. There are not too many supras in my area that I can just go and look and compare with. Pictures would be nice if it can be done thanks.

Sure it can. But, if you want it to look perfect, it's probably going to take more time than it's worth (unless you're good with bondo, fiberglass and a hacksaw).

if its worth it, id buy it, turn around and sell it for profit, if its not 'rig able.'

just out curiosity, why are 89 +/- not interchangeable, are the mounting points different?

Bottom of the bumper is a different shape and size. The mounting points don't really matter as you can mount an aftermarket lip as creatively as you want.
