I have seen a couple of write ups on how to do this...(SOGI, and Dylan) but they are all for 89+ cars... it says tha the wire colors will be different for pre-89 cars...Does anyone have a link for a write-up for pre-89's, or know which wires are different and what color are they? :aigo:

Thanks.

SOGI has a pre89 also, one for 86.5 and one for 87-88

Worked fine for me (86.5) except i noticed they wanted me to run a wire through the firewal and all the way up to each foglight. The easy way is to find the wires before they even leave the interior of the car.
Also (86.5) they mentioned using the Brake light fuse, but that would cause the foglight to only be able to go o nwhen the tail lights were lit up. I ra mine through the cig lighter (radio is re-wired seperatly so its not through there anymore) and now i can have either JUST my fogs on, Just my running lights on, both, or headlights too with or without fogs. I love it. And, most important, it turns off when i shut off the car still automatically.

A simple explination is take the control side of the relay and put it on a 12V source of your choice. Such as the green light under the dash that comes on when you open the door.

How your's is, the headlight is the power for the control side of the relay. The switch gives the ground path.

I did an 87 once. It isn't very hard with the correct EWD.
