nifty trading "game" that popular science has set up. it's basically a stock exchange based on predictions in the near and far future (next month ranging to 2050).

cool concept with the top earners winning prizes like an 80gb ipod or lg's new prada phone.

anyone else trade, or heard of it? i just started today and its pretty neat.

Screw the games man! Get into the real thing. Within the last two days I've made over $500 (I'll know the exact amount in a couple of hours, but there was a good rally at the end of the trading day today) on a stock that took a massive hit over this past month. That's $500 basically free!

At the end of last month/beginning of this month, during the really turbulent days, I made around $1000. There are some amazing deals hidden within all this subprime stuff

I just started last month. Hadn't had any type of economy class in like 4 years and the only thing I had going for me was like $200 and some internet sites I checked out. I just jumped in head first to see how the "game" is played and it's really as intuitive as you'd imagine.

Plus you have a great incentive to figure the game out fast seeing as how it's real money :naughty: , heh

But good luck to you when you do decide to jump in. It's pretty fun

We have a similar game here, but it's actually all tied in with REAL Australian Stock Exchange.... Played it a few years in a row now, and it's just awesome...

If you do decide to jump in for real 2 good online brokers are tradeking and scottrade. if you are going to trade for less than $2 shares i would recommend scottrade, tradeking(what i use) charges 1cent per share under 2.00 a share but it is only $5 a trade buy or sell. scottrade is 7$. subprimes have been fun lately for sure, i made a killing on NFI. but a good market right now is mining compaines (zinc)..
