Hi, for a while i've been running my car w/o powersteering. The complete powersteering system was in the car, just not functioning due to a leaking hose. The leak was caused by the bolt that the banjo bolt screws onto coming loose. W/o powersteering functioning the system would'nt make any noises while turning the wheel. After i fixed the bolt and filled the system with fluid, the PS system makes a whining noise only when i turn the wheel. My guess is that i have to bleed the system and add tad more fluid. How do i bleed my PS system? If fluid isn't my issue, what is? Thanks!

bad P/S pump.......not enough fluid. those are the only two things i know that cause this.

A bad PS pump coujld be the culprit. However, the wheel turns as if the pump is working like it should. Thanks for the fast reply!

the TSRM tell's you how to bleed the system, I will be doing mine in a couple of days. I put reg PS fluid in mine and it has starting making noise it took awhile though. I didn't not know you where suppose to us ATF. I plan on flushing mine and putting in ATF, I hope it helps.
