Hey guys,
I still have that fugly stock one, sitting in front of the new, shiny IC. Does anyone have any experience with the "finned" one that the domestics use, like in this auction?

Just want something that will still do the job and not be so ugly, or in the way.... what are you guys using? It's going in an MKIII, so using the sidemount area of an MKIV, or anything like that won't work for me... THANX!

Do you have the 90.5+ style small finned PS cooler, or the 86.5-89 style with just a 180degree bend on a metal pipe?

It's finned AND 180 degrees. About 12" long and still had the metal pipe with it.... AND the hose that comes to it. I can take pics later... I just want the install to look good and function. No sense having a nice, shiny IC with something junky in front of it....

I haven't had a PS cooler since January 2003, no problems yet. If you autox you'll probably boil the fluid. I've had no problems road racing.

I have a 2J in there now and am in the process of going single... put a big-@$$ intercooler up there and found this PS cooler to be a serious eye-sore. So, I was looking to get something prettier/hidden, if I really did need one at all.

So... also looking at relocating the radiator overflow/expansion bottle too. Wondering what size or where to get one similar to what the Blitz and Greddy IC kits provide..... The stock (1J) overflow doesn't fit either....

when i first did my swap i couldn't find the 1j overflow bottle.i ended up putting the 7m bottle under the headlight.hard to add to it,but didn't realy have to once the system was bleed.i would just use the 2j powersteering line, the one that loops under the pan.the powersteering probably won't boil over with none thought.if you think about it none of it is even near the turbo's.
