power steering tensionar stuck

i am reinstalling my timing belt and need to take the power steering belt off so i can turn the motor over but the darn tensionar is stuck in place no mater what i do it will not budge any one else have this problem

Did you loosen the "pivot" bolt ?? It's what actually holds the p/s pump to the engine. You need to loosen the bolt so the pump will move/swing to remove the belt.:naughty:

wait what? the power steering pump pivots to loosen the belt not the tension pully? then wtf is the adjuster bolt on the tensionar for?

yup, there's a bolt behind the PS pulley. It's kind of a bitch to get at though...I had to come from underneath with a long extension.
