Power Steering Res

I need to relocate my power steering resivior. Does it have to be above the height of the pump to gravity feed or can it suck it in if I mount it level with the box?

how would you check the level to make sure youd have fluid? im toying with the idea of mounting mine opposite where the stock overflow bottle is.

I would imagine that it would have to be above pump-level, since it pulls from the bottom of the reservoir. I could be wrong, and it is late, so the chances are far greater.

I would mount it higher, just because that's how I roll.
Put it where the charcoal canister goes.

my T6 is in the way, that would be some long ass hoses and would be messy looking
