Power Steering Hoses

Damn Today was my first day to actually use the car to drive and it just started leaking and leaking and leaking and puddles everywhere. At first I thought something i forgot to seal and the oil was coming out. Well the Power Steering started whining so I checked the fluid and there was none and it was all over the bottom of the car. So after school today I Jacked it up and looked. Well its the pressure hose from the pump to the gear box(I HOPE!) Well how the hell do you get this out? And better yet BACK IN?

You have to undo the rack because the line runs under the rack next to the frame. Very messy job and tuff if you are on your back. Not too bad if you have a lift. Make sure you get two new crush washers from Toyota and don't use the old ones.

yea right... i use a piece of plywood but its not big enough I always end up off of the side of it and my tools and stuff always roll away. I got it out but I think getting the hose back in is gonna be another story... I got it out without moving anything else.

i managed to strangle mine in after I used a pair of bolt cutters on the original line...not exactly an easy job. And remember, BUY THOSE WASHERS! And DON'T OVERTIGHTEN THE BOLTS! I ended up stripping my rack out because I wrenched on it too hard...I'm sure anyone else who laid on thier back for 2+ hours with a wrench and some wd-40, only to have the entire thing fail in the end feels my pain.
