power loss

I just bought a 60-1 upgraded turbo and installed it recently, although there is a little bit more lag than the stock turbo it pulls hard.

Now for the problem; in first gear ( A/t) i am at about 10 psi...and i can feel it, however, when it shifts to 2nd, i can feel a loos of power and my guage is now reading about 6 psi.

Other issues: Idle is a bit rough, as it idles at about 550-600, dips and sometimes stalls on upwards gardients; I backfire occasionally at high rpms ( 10-12 psi) .

Any help will be greatly apreciated, thank you

did you mess with your timing? If so, check it & make sure all of your I/C piping is tight. Does the 60-1 rock?

yeah its awesome, it was beautiful when i recieved it, almost didnt want to use it....that idea didnt last long though, i didnt mess with timing, and im pretty sure all my piping is on pretty good, ill check but im almost positive its on there good.

Also i think i may benefit from reseting the ecu. Are there any possible issues...

You got your BOV vented to the atmosphere? I have a SSQV and the car would stall out at idle going up a grade...eventually the ECU "re-learned" and it happens very rarely now.

and i do have a a vented ssqv, ill reset my ecu later on, then ill post the outcome, however, although that may affect my stall to a degree i still have an issue with power loss when the car changes gears at WOT

Have you adjusted it? I had to tighten mine down a bit to stop it from releasing pressure too fast.

i have the newer ssqv, i dont know how to adjust it, i was fimiliar wiht the older model and it had a screw, this one has nothing...

widest range my ass, i get pretty bad compressor surge at low boost if i dont ease of really lightly, anyways im gonna check my car today, for leaks mostly, but im gonna reset the ecu also nd see what happens
