My power antenna is broken but the motor still works wanted to know if I could just buy another antenna and switch them out. If so can the antenna be universal or do I need to go to the stealership?

You need to get the remaining pieces of the mast and cable out. Then feed in the new one.

I dont know of any other place to get them other than the dealership. But if just the cable and mast (its one piece) its pretty cheap.
Thats actually one of the first things I fixed when I bought the car.

I bought a replacement mast for mine at one point, then didn't use it since in mine, the cable was broken. The mast is cheap, and not too difficult to replace. The cable is a real pain to replace.

The cable stays with the motor, the mast is a separate piece.

For mine, I replaced my power antenna with a universal one. The trick is to keep the pieces of the factory unit that go on either side of the steel, since these are at the correct angle. You'll need to make up the lower mount, but that's simple enough.

Wrong. The mast and cable are one piece, if they are not, its broken. The cable is not attached to the motor at all, its just fed in.

This is what the cable and mast look like, again its one piece.
