yep i did it. a couple of them actually. cant say how much of a diff it made since i did a ct upgrade at the same time. however, w/ a 10* clip on the turbine wheel + the ported elbow the lag was very little.
i still have one left if you would be interested in it.

2.25" out the bottom.
My opinion, its not worth the time and effort.
I was just comparing my SS 3" to it.
The stock one is terrible, plain and simple.

Do you have a picture? How much for the one you have left?

I might cherry mine with acetylene and shatter it with a sledge. I'll be sure to share some pictures if I do.

I have another question too, between the BIC DDP and the DDP that returns back into the exhaust.
Would it make the DDP useless if you bought the DDP that returns back into the exhaust? I dont want to hear that Wastgate and I dont want my car to be heard at all...

then get the regular version and not the DDP. although the one that returns u wont be able to hear.

I always thought that if you were to get a DDP with the wg piping welded back into the dp would still give marginal gains over a regular downpipe. If the DDP is able to put out 20-30whp more than a reg dp Id say go for the ddp whether you want the piping welded back to the dp or not. The wg piping still travels far enough on its own that it does not disrupt exhaust gas pulses as much as a reg dp.

You can port it easily with an air grinder. It does help with stock turbo spool, but not as much as an aftermarket elbow or big mouth DP. Just be careful how much material you remove...you don't want the steel too thin on the bottom of the inlet.

Here's a comparison pic...you could remove a little more material than this shows. I'm just leary of it cracking under heat stress.

I ported my turbo elbow and it surprisingly made quite a difference.
As for spool time, I begin boost about 2700 @ 4psi, then about 3200 rpms, I am at full boost in 1st gear at 13psi...I wish it was like 4th gear though (15psi):). After the elbow, I'm running all 3" w/ Y-cut out after DP. Mine looks about like jdub's picture minus being polished all pretty.:)
