doubtful as i think they really contracted out to local shops to have the sunroofs installed. id check with jeff lange and see what he says about part numbers etc

Thats exacly what I'm lookin for, I'll have to research and see If I can buy the sun roof from dealer, then have a specialized shop do the work.

sunroof in targa ftw! And yes, The slide back and up power sunroofs are awesome. I love those. Cause you can prop them open like the ghetto sunroof but still open it up all the way for the targa-ish effect. I would love the targa top if it wasnt so dam rattly going down the road. And i love how you can just kinda of leap into the car without bending your head over or smacking your skull on the roof. Yay!

...convertible top with targa panel with sunroof with vent! But anyways, I would never advise getting one of these "installed" in your car by anyone, other than a factory car. Its basically cutting a very large hole in your perfect roof, on purpose, no matter how you look at it. And they WILL leak, given enough time. Some brand new ones even leak.

This is a very good point. When I was looking to get a Sunroof put onto my RAV4, I did some shopping around and found a specialty shop in Minneapolis, MN- All they did was install sunroofs. They had a pretty solid warantee, too, but their prices were a bit higher.

You get what you pay for though, right? :)

My 87 has an American moonroof (electric, slides and opens, made of tinted glass). It was a really expensive aftermarket sunroof installed by a company that specializes in nothing but high quality sunroofs.

That being said, I HATE IT! I've had to reseal it, replace expensive hard to get parts and although it doesnt leak wind or water anymore it still creates an audible wind noise at speed. Also, sunroofs are hard to work on and delicate. I look forward to uninstalling it and welding up the hole in my hardtop! Don't do it.

You want sun? Go to the beach.
