I had a MKIII Supra that I was rebuilding from pretty much scratch. I was going through the process of doing an Auto+ NA MKIII into a Turbo+ 5 speed.

That's how it sat for a while. I removed the engine and tranny and did a bit to it. Installed KYB shocks with Eibach springs, got an LSD off a turbo MKIII installed, gathered all sorts of turbo parts for it.

I realized that spending that much money, sweat, and time was not worth it My brother's friend was selling his "project" Supra and I so happen got a good deal on it.

1990 Toyota Supra Targa. The guy's son was trying to help him clean it.... with a can of spray paint.

  • JDM 7M-GTE with about 60,000 miles
  • Body has about 140,000
  • Very smooth 5-speed tranny

After buying this little sucker, I started working on it asap.

Well, after about a month of working on it. I finally saw some progress on my new Poopra. The engine finally looked like a 7M-GTE. Quite a bit of parts need to be replaced (seals, hoses, etc) to have it in tip-top shape but for right now, I have everything connected just to get it to run having it start up. This past Saturday, I swapped over the KYB shocks with Eibach springs and lowered it, giving it a nice stance. Swapped out the cheesy gauge cluster for an OEM gauge cluster and got everything ready to fire up the engine. I got all four 91-92 5 spoke Supra rims and will be sanding them down and spraying them with a charcoal-ish black color or possibly powder coating them.

Video of it turning on

Thanks bro! I'm going to need a better front bumper for it. I'm thinking of maybe getting a GRACER replica and as I paint that one, get the nose painted as well. It's running WAY better not. It still needs an o2 sensor, which is probably why it keeps wanting to die on me.

I think I have a set of fog lights for cheap if you're interested... would make it look a little better, but looks MUCH better than it did when you picked it up.

lol @ a kid cleaning w/ spray paint.

the o2 wont necessarily contribute to it wanting to die. the car should idle without one. and the gracer replica is a good choice bumper! best one besides stock imo. check for vacuum leaks if you havent already.

Most deff' interested in the fogs. I'll PM you. The little brat kid is pretty cute. Trouble maker for sure. Thanks

It idles fine after cranking it a few times. I'll get my brother to help me find some leaks if any. He does this shit for a living so no sweat there. There aren't very many good looking aftermarket bumpers for the MKIII sadly. The GRACER+replica are one of the few that give it character.

Thanks to 92NSX, I got the turbo he had on his Supra and installed it in my Supra. While doing so, I went ahead and installed the DDP I bought a few months ago.

I also got my gauges wired up and installed.

Also got an intercooler. Have yet to installed it.

It spools nice and everything. Running open downpipe right now.

I love how clear you can hear the turbo unspool. I wish I could keep it open dp. I'll be installing exhaust and then making the test pipe.

The guy I bought it from had the bosnian tach. I removed it. Haha

That's the plan. :/ I still gotta' get a new front bumper with a lip, install hardpipes and the intercooler, get it all repainted and possibly new rims. We'll see what happens!
