Ok i have seen it done and most don't conplete the job. So I would like to know what the process is for doing this. i know rubbing compound will do it but do you sand the wheels first or just get a high speed polisher and compound? I would like to see some pics also of the finished product.

I have polished many things made out of aluminum in the past.
Most of those things are nice and small and easy to do.
The four surfaces on blades, I would never consider it!

How long would it take, fellas?
That may be the determining factor on whether it is worth it.

Painting them would be a much easier route to a restored look...for me anyways.

i sanded my sawblades back once.Paint stripped them then sanded the machining marks out.Dont get paintstripper on the insides of the blades(trhe rough casting marks make it impossible to get the paintstripper out)Takes ages to do it by hand but it does make then look very shiny.

I just sanded mine with I can't remember the grit right now, but it wasn't to high. Then sprayed on some gunmetal wheel ppaint I bought, then let that dry and clear coated them. Not the best job, but they look good.
