so im an idiot and didnt know you can clean the MAF on the MKIII. so yea i cleaned it and well its distroyed and im sure everyone knows how a car runs on a bad MAF. well i have the AFM with the cage going to the filter but i dont have the adaptor. is there anyyyyy possible ideas to rig something up so i can move my car out of my friends parking lot????

i unplugged it, tried it. killed it then pluged it back in tried it. then disconnected the battery for an hour. then tried it again. still same ole same ole

Assuming the TPS is setup properly, it will run up to 3k rpm without the AFM connected. It uses a 3 point fuel map to do this, and the STA and IDL inputs. It will definitely run. JJ made a video driving around the neighborhood with the AFM disconnected.

Sometimes it takes a few starts to set the AFM fault code and turn on the MIL. Also, make sure the TPS IDL signal is adjusted right or it will not run.
