ok so i had my mechanic(i kno do it myself, i dont wanna hear it) replace my exhaust manifold gasket today and helicoil my head. So i get it back from him it ran great, i drove about 10 miles mostly freeway and high rates of speed and i pull up next to a WRX and try and taunt him, not only does he not bite but my car dies, just dies, i pull off to the side of the busy street with my flashers, pop my hood and my turbo(stock CT26) is glowing red, not super bright but i could see it. I try and start the car back up and it idles like SHIT loping everywhere and i have almost no power just major bogging when i try and drive it. This happened about 1 mile away from my apartment, so we tried to limp it home, i had to stop at least 8 times due to it dying or me being afriad i was fucking something up, it is also smoking horribly, it is black in color, so fuel problem, it idles like shit, and dies at stop lights(mostly), all connections are plugged in and i have a 1/4tank of gas.

FIXED IT, BOTTOM INTERCOOLER HOSE THAT CONNECTS TO THE TURBO WAS BLOWN OFF.

Might check your timing...

He may have pulled the CPS off to get access while doing the helicoil. If it is put back on wrong, you will have symptoms like that. It is possible to have the CPS installed 180 degrees out. Car will run, but badly.....Ask me how I know:biglaugh:
