Last Friday....taking my happy ass home from work, I decided to tear up the road. All went fine and dandy after the third launch from the stoplight.. lol, my car started missing and sputtering. wtf!!!!
Anyways, limped it home and checked for IC piping and vacum hoses and nothing was blown. Changed all plugs eventhough there were no signs of any fouls etc. It got a little better but that was it. I thought I had lost my engine Shucks...
Drove it today and tried boosting but it would hesitate.
I decided to give it another go and looked around. Heard a real loud hissing sound which I had initially thought was the hydrofan. Checked the Vacum hoses once again and I touched the BOV one and it was lose. The friggin T had broken in half and there was a really bad vacum leak... ahaaaa....!!!!
Well fixed that....and the car drives like a dream again .
I know this is a stupid post...but fwiw, I would recommend using "T" connectors that are metal or made of harder plastic. This one sits above the turbos so the heat made it brittle I guess, and the launching and torquing snapped it.
Thanks for reading :
Moe.
But all in all...this makes it all worthwhile
