i am planning on swaping a 1jz 5 speed into to 1991 automatic supra. i was just wondering if anyone has ever swaped for a 1jz-gte vvt-i before because if this is possable i am very intrested and would like to know more.

ok well nobody respomded and i still would still like to know more about the 1 jz vvt-i this sounds like a good engine and if it is just as easy to swap as a 1jz i might just do that instead.
Im sure it has or could be done but is it worth it? the cost and hastle of the extra wiring could be spent on modding a non VVT 1J.Im sure there are advantages to having variable valve timing but its really all up to how much you want to or can spend and its relation to what goals you have to meet with your project.
