I far as I know, the only reason for that piece at all is to keep oil out of the spark plug holes when it leaks out of the valve covers and with your cutout and around the holes its defeating that purpose. That and unless you relocate everything else on the top you'll hardly see it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating, it's nice, but there really isn't much point to this on the car.

Oh, and I'm getting old, what does FTMFW mean? Other than days of the week. LOL.

That is how the stock one looks after that shitty plastic stuff cracks off. Also, once you put the valve covers on, they kinda go over the gap a little.

oops..

Looks nice, but how nice does all the stuff that goes on top of it look..? :icon_conf

Oh yeah and FTMFW=For the M-Fing Win.

I just bought one yesterday! Is that one brushed or polished? It doesn't need to be installed before the valve cover like in your 1st pic does it?

To be honest with you sideways, I cant remember if it was polished or brushed. LOL Im an idiot. No I really dont think it has to be installed before the valve cover. I was just putting in allen keys bolts for the valve covers, also put in new o-rings, and top and bottom grommets for the inj's cause I had a nasty fuel leak. So thats why I had the valve covers off, plus more space to work in the rail area.
