Back in August I got a 1j swap from Driftmotion after my 7m's head gasket blew. I never got around to posting up pics of the car or the swap until now. Sorry for the crappy quality but it was the best I could do. My car is pretty much a beater. It has dirt, scratched paint, dents, and a crappy bondo job. I use this car for delivering pizza at my work and going to college. The car may look ugly but its a total sleeper. I always get civics, del sols, accords, 240s and ect trying to race me on delivaries. They're always reving at me at stop lights but they end up feeling stupid afterwards when they get beat by the pizza guy. My next plan is to make it look nice by fixing the body and painting it. I know you might think I'm stupid for using it for delivery and putting miles on it but its the only job I could get. I hate putting miles on my car and I plan on switching jobs as soon as I find another one. Say what you must but I love my car.

hahahaha great cartoon... haa.. anyway... it brings a tear to my eye to se a ma70 look like that and not jus the mileage on the soop alone that makes pizza delivery suck, also the gas mileage cant be good... good luck with it though... now that its quick atleast bring it back to stock aesthetic specs... a stock soop can be a sleeper too... people doubt mk3's till they eat the charachteristically rich exhaust.

I do plan on bringing it back to stock aspect along with Bomex kit and lip(the 3 hole lip), lexus blue paint(like Mike urbano's car), some 18x10 and18x9 gold volk GTCs and a couple of other things. I want my car to be nice and clean.

thats an awsome setup, driveline wise, but wtf happened to the outside of hte car holy crap. do your selenoids work anymore cus the passenger head light is like, smooshed. post up pics of your clean up progress.

They still work. What happened to front was that I had a tire blow out and lost control into a side walk a little tree. I killed the tree and my bumper was fine except that it obviously messed up my headlights. The side of the car was a stupid move on my part. Before the swap I practiced drifting in a parking lot and one night I hit a light pole. If I ever drift again it will only be at drift days in irwindale. I will post pics of my progress once I start. The swap cost around $4. $2000 for the clip, $1600 for the labor (driftmotion), plus a couple more hundred for things like a clutch assembly, 2jz throttle cable, new pressure plate, etc.

I wouldn't want them to touch my car. I wouldn't want to pop the hood and find out they swapped an NA motor in there with neon just because they found out the 1j isn't street legal. I'd rather send a tape to MTV's new show on fixing up cars. Sounds like a cool show my friend Jen worked on this. She said that they have show and or race crews go against each other on who can build a better import/race car. The host is RJ De Vera. She says that one of the crews that was competing on the show was Showstoppers and if I remember correctly the other team was Team Techna. Hopefully the show and the cars they build wont suck.

ya, it seems some shows are wising up that there are alot of people who want to watch something that doesnt cater to every rice fad in existence. there was some show on speed channel i was watching that was building up an R32 and they had some good footage and explanation of the block and head build.

They just started showing Pimp on free to air here and I watched 1.5 episodes and decided it was total crap!

It lasted 2 episodes and everyone else decided it was crap .

or if I had a nice daily driver...I probably would have the supra apart again and rebuilding another motor or doing some crazy RB26 swap.
