I need a pic of the passenger seat rails. Right where they bolt to the floor in the front.
I'm trying to bolt down a set of shadow grey seats out a 92 into my 90. For some reason it looks like the rails are reversed (left where right should be and vice versa). The brackets sit a good 2" above the bolt holes right now in the front. The front mount closest to the console is curved and the one by the door is flat. It looks like if they were swapped around they'd bolt-down fine.
For a second I thought that maybe they were originally pulled from a rhd; but then the seat controls would be on the opposite sides; which is not the case.
It may be that the new carpet with the under-padding is too thick and is making this difficult. I'm thinking of taking some studs and screwing them in just so I can mount the seats and torque them down enough to where I can remove the studs and use the factory bolts. However, as of now, the rails sit too high for the factory bolts to even thread.
Any ideas to why I'm having this issue? Did seat rails change throughout the years?
