Why does the PCV line connect to the intake manifold? Reason I am asking is because that little hose that connects the hard line to the manifold is cracked and leaking a film of oil on my valve cover. Can I just cap it off on the manifold side and PCV pipe side?

AM: Due to being Turbo the PVC system faces a few odd issues and is designed to work under boost as well as off boost driving.

I run a single big line from a T on the Cam Boxes to what would be the accordian on mine and it works fine but I figure if you have it all there already it's a well engineered system why not just replace the hose and forget it for another 15+ years
