passenger window broke

my passenger window wont go up...... besides spending the money to toyota on a window motor, would it be anything els simple and not as expensive ?? I was told to just try buying a new switch...... ???

try cleaning the contacts on the switch first. if that fails, pick up a good used one, then if that fails, pull the door apart and replace the motor. go from cheapest to most expensive.

does the window go up if u press the pass side switch. 9 times out of 10 its the contacts that are dirty. the switch comes out with the door handle.
