I fogged the engine, ran some stabil through the fuel system, removed the battery. It's always on jack stands so no tire concerns.
run all the fuel out of it or use Stabil like BCG said. Make sure if you do use Stabil then put some in a run the car until you think that there is some everypart of the fuel system.

Well I had to learn by reading the instructions on the can. Basically it's a spray that you put in each cylider to prevent rust during storage. I'm sure every product you buy is different so you may want to stick to the specific instructions. But it will involve removing plugs and spraying in the holes 
flush your cooling system and refill with fresh 50/50 antifreeze water mix, if it has not been done in the past two years or so. Also, change the oil because oil gets water in it from condesation(sp). Change the oil again when you bring it out of storage.
