How in the world do you guys do the targa? remove seals and paint in the car or tape everything off and paint outside the car? I am lost...ha

Anyway, here are pics. Tips are welcome on anything, such as removing windshield trim, rear quarter window trim or anything else.

The car will be 91+ 3h8 burgandy pearl hotness :)

You should take the door handles out and remove the gasket when you paint it. because it would be to hard to mask the gasket off. i also suggest you buy some fine line tape. When masking off edges, such as trim around the rear quarter windows.

haha looked like my car a year ago!, i'd remove the targa and seals to paint it, i just changed my seals a couple days, ago, it woulda just been easier to take it off and paint it cause it will look more flush, you won't have tiny bits of old paint still exposed if you know what i mean

I probably won't be jamming it, because the difference in color isn't that much or noticeable. I have almost a hundred hours in body work. Its going to be perfectly straight except for the wrinkled B pillar. I did what I could for it.

I'm suprised at how no one ever notices the exhaust...lol

and here you go. If you are on dialup, hit stop and back immediately or your computer might ....die.

The strange look the paint has was some combination of the camera not liking clear particles floating in the air/the florescents/ the paint not being fully cured.

I took the targa seals out and we sprayed in the edges. It still needs cut and buffed, but that shouldn't be a problem with six coats of clear to work with.

I bought new targa seals, tail lamp seals, and a new hatch seal.

We think its going to come out pretty nice when DONE. I did however miss a few dings that I never even knew were in the car. They are very small and only visible with the painting lights though, so its ok.

I've been waiting for the car to be one color for over three years.
