Paint & Interior DONE!!!!

Thanks to the Louisville meet a few pics of my new paint job have made it onto SM, but I thought I shoud do a dedicated thread, so here goes...

Lets start with the interior. The original grey leather was in piss poor shape when I bought it last March, but just $400 got it looking pretty good. A few panels are now vinyl, but it takes a good eye and a close look to spot them.

And here are a few pics of my paint, which was finished just a week and a half ago. I admit I went a little unconventional with the black on red American muscle car look. I have to say I like it, but I'd like to hear from the Supra community, so lets here what you all have to say...

Photochop it and find out. That was the only thing that gave me the guts to go ahead with it, and even then I lost sleep while she was at the paint shop.

Dyslexicsquirrel used a white on blue - not bad at all from looking at his avatar. BTW, thanks for the rep.

Tanya, I PS'ed it both ways, and it just got to be a little too much for my taste, so I went a little more conservative with it. I just saw a Mustang on the expressway today with the stripe down the bumpers, and it looked really good. Kind of made me wonder...

Hmm, after looking a second time you may be right. I think a complete stripe on a pre-89 Supra would look better b/c it's separated by the grill. The post 89s split bumper would seem like too much

it's a unique stripe that accents the hood and nose of the car,the way it stops short makes it look NOT RICE,nice touch.

Wow for $400 thats a great deal on the leather and trims.
Makes me think about doing the same on an already great conditioned blue cloth interior.

No matter how controversial a paint scheme maybe for some, if it is done tastefully, and nicely, it look good, and yours does look good. I like

Im trying to think what would look better on my car... Not to steal glory.... Glossy white with a flat black stripe or gloss white with a glossy black stripe.....

I think the stripe would look badass if it didn't go over the roof, just on the hood and over the wing, but your car looks awesome. That interior looks amazing.

Good eye. Yeah, I was tire shopping on a budget and had to take what I could get from a couple of used tire places. 235/45/17's front and 245/40/17's in the rear, I think. I need to start a tire fund. :icon_bigg

I love your car, man. It's so clean. Stock but sporty looking. I like the strip too.
