Hello guys i have a 87 supra i got HKS meta head gasket 1.2mm put on with , thermostat, hoses its got a straight pipe with out any cats. air intake, i got the car worked on abouyt two weeks ago. As soon as i broke the car in (500 miles) th ecar overheated on the highway as i was driving back home. After that it didnt do it for about two weeks but again today it overheated .... i havent booosted it much before the event. Does anyone know what it could be or if it dangerous or is it going to mess up anything else.
Anything that i might need to do to avoid this problem....

well overheating and low oil are the 2 things you really want to avoid so yeah you could mess things up :)

Maybe get your cooling system pressure checked. Check the fan/fan clutch. Do some searching on here you'll see a lot of overheating discussion.

an awful lot...I've got a checklist going for tomorrow since I'm having a few problems too. Hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst

Long drives is when a BHG will show up most times. (Mine)
Around town the trips are short, and any coolant blown over to the bottle will get sucked back into the engine.
I drove mine for 3 months before I finally tore it down last year.

Did you mill the block when you put the metal HG on???
The head and block MUST be prepared to a finish better (smoother) than the original factory setup.

Search the forum for info.
