overboost issue

Hey guys

After installing a much stronger pressure plate my jz started over boosting.
My tuner said it was because the old PP probably was not holding the power to well.
He sent me an adjusted map that I loaded into my ecu (aem v1) and did about 10 test pulls.
It hit 20lbs perfectly. (Over boost was 28)

Now after 5 more pulls I herd a funny small "pop" on the turbo side and the boost spiked to 28.

Every time I hook my laptop up and run the car with that on it won't over boost
Wtf is going on...


Iv replaced all the lines
Aem boost solenoid is good

-aristo 2jz w/r154
-act extreme pressure plate w/ 6 puck
-tial 44mm waste gate (tested and good)
-drift motion 60-1 turbo

I will have to say I just finished up a 2jz swap with just about the same setup as you and drove it for the first time yesterday and my boosted also jump to way over 20psi so today when I get home I will pull the wastegate off and check if it is not stuck and I will report back to you with my finding to see if that will help you out but you may also start by checking your wastegate and make sure it's not stuck.

Yea mines was a easy fix on this car I just had to tap a fitting on the turbo and run new lines and that fix my problem. Have you checked your wastegate to make sure it's not stuck closed?
